Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

Tel-Instrument Electronics Corp is seeking to fill a full-time position in their Product Support Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong hands on Avionic testing background, technical skills, technical writing experience, and be comfortable with technical sales. Will provide effective support and training of Tel-Instrument products and services to the DoD, as well as commercial and International customers around the world. Candidates applying for this position must be customer focused, process driven, and motivated for continual improvement. The successful candidate will possess demonstrated ability to effectively develop and grow our internal and external training programs. Must also be able to work in a dynamic and fluid environment and able to properly convey technical solutions and provide support to large groups.

  • Strong customer focus with a track record of developing exceptional customer relationships.
  • Ability to quickly learn how to operate and demonstrate highly technical avionics test equipment.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate in a clear and concise manner with sophisticated customers and all levels of the organization. Will be expected to prepare and present Support Services proposals, concepts and program status to senior level management and customers.
  • Capable of successfully defining and negotiating performance work scope including specific terms and conditions to manage customer expectations.
  • Capable of assisting in developing comprehensive plans and programs with or without customer requirements documents, and leading proposal scope in competitive and sole source proposals. This includes evaluating requests for information, requests for proposal, and developing a support services win strategy to ensure successful contract award.
EXPERIENCE:

Avionics background a must. Avionics flight-line test experience is a major plus as is prior U.S. military service.

Technical product support and technical writing experience.

Current “SECRET” Clearance or a background that will result in a clearance.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Minimum of a two year technical degree. Aeronautical Engineering background or military electronics training would be a major plus

Must be a U.S. citizen. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. A current US SECRET Clearance is preferred but not necessary.

Additional Skills - Requirements

Must have expertise in all Microsoft Office Tools: Word, Excel; PowerPoint

Photoshop/Adobe Products experience (Flyers, website content) would be a major plus
