Description

The latest release of the TS-4530A with Mode 5L2B is another step in improvements of this successful product line. The new version of the respected TS-4530 with Mode5L2B test set provides simple to use GO/NO-GO operation and now has been updated to 2025 AIMSPO requirements and added capabilities The TS-4530A, developed under a U.S. Army contract, now tests IFF Mode 5 Levels 1 & 2, EHS, and TCAS, TACAN and M5L2B.

The TS-4530A includes a large 8 line, color display and a easy to use 3-button switch assembly that adds a 4-way directional toggle action for improved usability. The upper housing includes a built-in KIV-77/SIT2010 CCI applique enclosure Option A. 

Based on a new, highly integrated digital architecture; the TS-4530A performs the following tests:

  • Transponder: Modes 1, 2, 3/A, C, Mode S, EHS (Enhanced Surveillance) and Mode 5 (Levels 1 & 2)
  • Interrogator: Modes 1, 2, 3/A, C, Mode S, EHS (Enhanced Surveillance) and Mode 5 (Levels 1 & 2)
  • Removal of all Mode 4 Components
  • Addition of TACAN Testing in G/A,A/A and A/A BCN
  • Full Testing to complete AIMSPO 1102 integration requirements
  • DO260B ADS-B IN/OUT testing
  • TCAS 1 and II with E-TCAS airborne intruder simulations
  • Built-in KIV-77 and SIT2010 CCI Option A enclosure with full compliance
  • RoHs Compliant for international use
  • Built in GPS with integrated GPS antenna provides accurate Date, TOD and LAT/LONG for positioning
  • Simple to use GO/NO-GO operation

The TS-4530A with Mode 5L2B is lighter than previous versions of the Test Set. Advanced power management extends battery operation time. The Option A crypto housing supports both the KIV-77 and SIT2010 and blends into the unit and the crypto is readily visible with the same viewing line as the display in the unit. Rapid one button GO/NO-GO test can be performed based on stored parameters and criteria.
