Tel-Instrument Electronics Corp. is pleased to announce the availability of the new SDR-OMNI GPS Simulator Application, a powerful expansion to the SDR-OMNI platform that brings practical GPS receiver, ADS-B, and coupled autopilot testing directly into the hangar and onto the flight line.Designed for aircraft maintenance, avionics troubleshooting, and installation support, the SDR-OMNI GPS Simulator Application transforms SDR-OMNI into a portable GPS test solution capable of simulating up to 12 GPS L1 satellite channels in a controlled aircraft-on-ground environment. New T-47/M5 Software Update is Available
Tel-Instrument has released a new Software version for users of our popular T-47/M5 IFF Test Set (07.300.30). This update adds a new feature - Mode 5 L2B IN and OUT, removal of all Mode 4 components and also corrects a minor bug affecting with GPS Roll Over. The Software can easily be installed by Tel-Instrument or any of our authorized Service Centers.Note: As the software adds additional capability, international users of the T-47/M5 will need a Department of State License to receive the update.

IFF Mode 5 Emulator
The next-generation AIMS Mode 5 Identify Friend or Foe (IFF) Emulator by WebSec is designed as a modern, non-CCI replacement for legacy cryptographic devices. It can operate in place of a KIV-79 or, with an optional adapter, a KIV-77 — providing a flexible and future-ready solution for Mode 5 testing and evaluation.Physically representative of the KIV-79 form factor, the emulator supports flight line and lab use, with full implementation of Flight Line Test Mode and seamless integration with Tel-Instrument T-47/M5 and TS-4530A Test Sets. It mimics KIV-79 Crypto Host Serial Interface (CHSI) protocol behavior during power-up, initialization, and while running traffic, ensuring drop-in compatibility with existing workflows.
The emulator interoperates with other Mode 5 emulators and enhances test visibility by displaying all AIMS 04-900A Mode 5 messages in a human-readable format. Optional Active-Pro integration adds Mode 5 signal analysis capability for advanced test environments.

TR-420 Ramp Test Set
Description
The TR-420 (Multi-function including Mode 5) Ramp Test Set is the next generation of avionics support equipment. The TR-420 is a battery powered portable unit used to test the operation of Transponders and Interrogators including: IFF (with Mode 5) Mode S Transponders, EHS, and ADS-B. TACAN/DME, ADS-B Transmit/Receive and TCAS testing functionality are also offered as part of the standard test set capability. Tests of both Transponders and Interrogators can be performed by using the TR-420 hand held antenna to radiate to and from the unit-under-test (UUT) or by directly connecting to the UUT antenna port. The TR-420 employs a user interface with a large 5.7 in. color LCD screen and surrounding soft-keys. Description
The AN/ARM-206 is the industry s first fully automated TACAN Test Set and is designed for depot and intermediate level support. The AN/ARM-206 meets all requirements for evaluating the performance and accuracy of airborne TACAN UUT s. The AN/ARM-206 generates signals that accurately simulate TACAN beacon signals to both the normal X and Y surface-to-air modes, as well as signals of an interrogating or complementary aircraft in X or Y air-to-air modes, including inverse mode. T-47NH XPDR INTERR IFF TACAN DME TCAS RAMP TEST SET
Description
The T-47NH has been discontinued on May 15, 2025. The replacement for this model is the SDR-OMNI/MIL All-In-One Test Set.
The T-47NH Multifunction Ramp Test Set is a battery powered portable unit used to test the operation of Transponders and Interrogators including: Mode S Transponders, TCAS Interrogators, and TACAN/DME equipment that are installed in aircraft and other vehicles. Tests of both Transponders and Interrogators can be performed by using the T-47NH directional antenna to radiate to and from the unit-under-test (UUT) or by directly connecting to the UUT antenna port.
The T-47N provides test capability for Mode S Elementary and Enhanced Surveillance. The T-47N can receive and display information contained in Mode S DF-17 Extended Squitter (ADS-B).
The T-47NH is self-contained comprising of a built-in battery charger and all accesories are neatly stored within the removable cover. An easy to understand front panel interface controlled by the use of toggle switches with an easy to read display makes use simple and requires little or no training. The supplied directional antenna with an active LED and optical sight is used for both interrogator and transponder testing. The battery is installed and removable through the front panel. Utilize the OPTIONAL KIR/KIT cable with a KIT/KIR computer module or interchange it with a KIV-6 module which fits neatly in the provided bay.

The replacement model is the SDR-OMNI/MIL All-In-One Test Set.The T-47G Multi-Function Ramp Test Set is a battery powered portable unit used to test Interrogators, Transponders including Mode S and IFF, TACAN/DME, and TCAS equipment which are installed in aircraft and other vehicles. Now with EHS.
Tests of both Transponders and Interrogators can be performed by using the supplied Directional Antenna to radiate signals to or from the Unit Under Test (UUT), or by directly connecting to the UUT antenna port.
The T-47G is completely self-contained comprising of a built-in battery charger and all accesories stored with in the removable cover. An easy to understand and operate front panel interface, controlled by the use of toggle switches, and an easy to read display, makes use simple and requires little or no training. The Directional Antenna with an active LED display and optical sight is used for both Interrogator and Transponder testing. The battery is installed and removable through the front panel.

This product has been discontinued effective May 15, 2025. The direct repacement is the SDR-OMNI All-In-One Test Set.
The TR-220 provides test capability for Traffic and Collision Avoidance Systems (TCAS), Distance Measuring Equipment (DME) and Transponders (Modes A, C, and S). The TR-220 features state-of-the art design technology. Microprocessor control results in easy-to-use operation that requires minimum amounts of training. Setup menu allows storage of various test parameters to facilitate quick recall of test conditions.
