T-47/M5 Support and Warranty Plans
Tel-Instrument offers flexible support and extended warranty options for the T-47/M5 avionics test set.
Customers may select a T-47/M5 Care Plan that combines additional factory warranty coverage, scheduled annual calibration, and covered repair services, or purchase Extended Warranty coverage without scheduled calibration.
Care Plans and Extended Warranties are available in increments of one, two, three, or four additional years beyond the included standard warranty.
Every eligible T-47/M5 includes a standard 1-Year Limited Factory Warranty at no additional charge.
The plan duration identifies the number of additional years purchased beyond the included first year. For example, a 4-Year Care Plan or 4-Year Extended Warranty provides four additional years of coverage, resulting in five total years of warranty protection from the original equipment purchase date.
The recommended factory calibration interval for the T-47/M5 is once every year.
T-47/M5 Care Plans
T-47/M5 Care Plans combine additional factory warranty protection with one scheduled factory calibration for each additional year purchased.
The standard first-year warranty is included with the equipment and is not charged again as part of the Care Plan. Care Plan calibrations begin during the first additional coverage year following expiration of the standard warranty.
T-47/M5 Care Plan - 1 Additional Year
Provides one additional year of factory warranty coverage and one scheduled factory calibration after the included first-year warranty period.

Scheduled Factory Calibration
Care Plan calibration schedules are based on the original equipment purchase date. Each Care Plan includes one scheduled factory calibration for every additional coverage year purchased.
The scheduled calibration dates are not extended or reset when equipment is returned late for service.
A T-47/M5 purchased in January 2027 with a 4-Year Care Plan receives the included standard warranty through January 2028.
The Care Plan then provides additional warranty protection and scheduled factory calibrations during Years 2, 3, 4, and 5, resulting in five total years of warranty coverage from the January 2027 purchase date.
Delaying a scheduled calibration does not extend the Care Plan term or change future calibration intervals.
What T-47/M5 Care Plans Include

- Abuse, misuse, or improper operation
- Unauthorized repairs or modifications
- Damage caused by operation outside published environmental specifications
- Missing accessories, cables, or consumable items unless specifically covered
- Expedited service
- Loaner or replacement equipment
A T-47/M5 Care Plan may be purchased with a new test set or added within one year of the original equipment purchase date.
Each Care Plan must be associated with an eligible T-47/M5 serial number.
Care Plan coverage and scheduled calibration dates are based on the original equipment purchase date. Final coverage terms are subject to the applicable Tel-Instrument quotation and Care Plan terms.
T-47/M5 Extended Warranty
Customers who prefer to purchase calibration separately may select Extended Warranty coverage for an eligible T-47/M5 test set.
Extended Warranty durations identify the number of additional warranty years purchased beyond the included 1-Year Limited Factory Warranty.
T-47/M5 Extended Warranty - 1 Additional Year
Extends factory warranty protection for one additional year beyond the included standard warranty.

Authorized Warranty and Care Plan Service
All warranty-covered repairs, Care Plan repairs, and related internal service must be completed by Tel-Instrument Electronics Corp. or a Tel-Instrument Authorized Service Center.
Repairs, modifications, or internal service performed by an unauthorized facility may affect or void remaining warranty and Care Plan coverage.
Extended Warranty coverage may be purchased with a new T-47/M5 or added within one year of the original equipment purchase date.
Coverage is associated with the eligible equipment serial number and begins immediately following expiration of the standard 1-Year Limited Factory Warranty.
Warranty coverage does not extend or reset based on equipment repair, calibration, or service dates.

SDR-OMNI Support Plans
SDR-OMNI Support and Warranty Plans
Tel-Instrument offers flexible support and extended warranty options for SDR-OMNI and SDR-OMNI/MIL avionics test sets.
Customers may select a comprehensive SDR Care Plan combining scheduled factory calibration, warranty protection, and covered repair services, or purchase Extended Warranty coverage without scheduled calibration.
SDR Care Plans are structured around the recommended two-year calibration interval and provide coverage through Year 2, Year 4, or Year 6 from the original equipment purchase date.
Every eligible SDR-OMNI and SDR-OMNI/MIL includes a standard 2-Year Limited Factory Warranty at no additional charge.
The recommended factory calibration interval is once every two years.
Care Plan coverage and calibration schedules are based on the original equipment purchase date.
SDR Care Plans
SDR Care Plans combine scheduled factory calibration with factory warranty protection and covered repair services during the selected total plan period.
The plan name identifies the total Care Plan period from the original equipment purchase date. The included standard 2-year warranty is credited toward the selected plan period and is not charged again.
SDR Care Plan Through Year 2
Includes the first scheduled factory calibration at approximately Year 2 while the equipment remains protected by its included standard 2-Year Limited Factory Warranty.
This plan does not add extended warranty years.

SDR Care Plan Through Year 6
Provides the maximum available Care Plan protection through Year 6, including three scheduled factory calibrations and four additional years of warranty coverage beyond the included standard warranty.

Scheduled Factory Calibration
SDR Care Plan calibration schedules are tied to the original equipment purchase date and are established at approximately two-year intervals during the selected plan period.
The calibration schedule is not extended or reset based on the date the equipment is returned for calibration.
An SDR purchased in January 2027 with an SDR Care Plan Through Year 6 is scheduled for factory calibration at approximately Years 2, 4, and 6 from the January 2027 purchase date.
If the customer returns the equipment late for a scheduled calibration, the Care Plan expiration date and future calibration schedule remain based on the original purchase date.
SDR Care Plans do not exceed six total years from the original equipment purchase date.
