T-47M5-4530 Technical Bulletin GPS Roll-Over
Tel-Instrument has posted a Technical Bulletin covering the T-47/M5, TS-4530A and T-4530i IFF Test Sets. The TB details a growing issue with legacy GPS modules which may impact your test set. Technical Bulletin T-47M5 and 4530 Products 10-14-25
To provide owners and operators of the Tel-Instrument Electronics Corp. T-47/M5 and TS-4530A and T-4530i IFF Test Sets of details on an upcoming problem with the Trimble GPS module which may cause a GPS Roll Over that can affect the GPS stored date (year) acquired utilizing GPS as the time source.

To our valued customers,
Tel-Instrument Electronics Corp (TIC) is having increasing difficulty in sourcing parts for many of its older commercial and military avionic test sets, most of which were introduced over 20 years ago. Due to the obsolescence of these parts, TIC as a result, will discontinue production on these test sets effective April 15, 2025. We have secured sufficient spare parts for these units to allow for continued product support for an estimated 3-year period.

This letter serves as formal notification that Tel-Instrument Electronics Corp. has discontinued support, repair, and parts supply for the following Test Set:
TB-2100 ATC/DME/Mode S Test Set
P/N 90000106
Tel-Instrument Electronics Corp. acknowledges the obligation to promptly inform our customers of the intent to exit products and provide an alternative product exceeding the former Test Sets capability; but at this time there is no direct replacement for the TB-2100.
The TB-2100 Test Set was first introduced in 2003, and due to the age of the existing hardware, many components have been discontinued and no longer available for purchase or repair. As these circumstances are beyond our control Tel-Instrument will still continue to support the TB-2100 if no parts or repairs are needed as follows.
